Guifei mango requires the same conditions as Jinwang: full sun, frost-free climate, and well-drained soil. It is slightly less vigorous than Jinwang, making it better suited for smaller yards or containers (with pruning). Provide a dry winter period to encourage flowering. Water consistently during fruit set and development – inconsistent watering can cause fruit drop. Fertilize with low-nitrogen fertilizer before flowering. Protect from strong winds, which can damage the large leaves and fruit. Container growing is possible for several years with a large pot (25+ gallons) and regular pruning.
